Create A Clever Caption Contest #1

December 20, 2011 Update:  The judges have made their decision! Congratulations to Gwen – you’ve written the winning caption! (Please see our revised picture below.) Our first runner up was “I Believe…” Adopt a shelter dog this Christmas and give them a reason to believe. written by Anna Bettina Johnson. ORIGINAL CONTEST INFORMATION:
While you’re working on clever gift ideas for all the folks and pets on your list . . . keep those creative juices flowing just a little while longer. Bet you can come up with at least one extraordinary caption for our featured photo below!
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
The 1st  Place winner will receive a $50 American Express gift card! Yup, that’s right – FIFTY dollars to spend any way you wish . . . and, you’ll receive it in time to do some last minute holiday shopping!
Here’s the rules:
1. Come up with the most compelling – intriguing – engaging – humorous – appropriate caption for our contest’s photo. It should focus on or relate to the problem of pet overpopulation in some way. (Some appropriate topics are: spay/neuter, puppy mills, backyard breeding, animal abuse, rescue, overcrowded shelters, fostering, adoption – you get the idea . . .)
2. Type YOUR NAME and THE CAPTION in the “Leave A Reply” comment box below. Be sure to click the “Post Comment” button to send your contest entry to us!
3. All entries (aka “Comments”) must be sent by midnight EST December 18th, 2011.
4. Lola and three impartial judges will pick the best caption. The winner will be contacted via email and receive their $50 gift card prize before December 24th! Their most excellent caption will be publicized on harnesslife.org’s blog, facebook page and Twitter feed.

  3. Oh dear Santapaws, I have but one request. That you leave a little note by each childs gift, reminding them, when they are grown and have a pet of their own, that they do the right thing. (End the sadness). Spay/Neuter
